Barnsley
Somewhere between Leeds and Sheffield lies the town of Barnsley which is also the administrative centre for the Metropolitan Borough of Barnsley. Historians claim that Barnsley town was in existence as far back as 1086 and is widely known for the linen industry and coal mines it once had.
